2018 – Brooklyn McNair

Brooklyn McNair

Brooklyn McNair is the recipient of the first Trajectory Foundation Scholarship.  Brooklyn is a student athlete from Prince George’s County, Maryland and will graduate in May 2018. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland but his family relocated to Prince George’s County due to financial struggles.   Brooklyn achieved honor roll each semester since 8th grade while taking honors and AP courses and is a National Honor Society Inductee. Brooklyn has always worked odd jobs like cutting grass and raking leaves to help his mother and father, who is disabled, make ends meet. He was recently hired in a local grocery chain where he will work over the summer.  Despite his difficult circumstances, Brooklyn has been accepted and will be attending North Carolina Central University for the next 4 years working towards a degree that will allow him to pursue a career in law enforcement. Brooklyn is pursuing a career in law enforcement because he believes there is a need for more African American males in that field.  Brooklyn has a tremendous work ethic, and has applied for over 20 scholarships to reduce his dependence on student loans. We welcome Brooklyn to our Trajectory Foundation family.

“I would like to give a big thanks to Mr. Krigger and the Trajectory Foundation for awarding a young African American Male, who will be attending an HBCU, my very first scholarship. Trajectory’s financial contribution will be very helpful with my college cost.”
