Imani M
Imani M has been awarded a 2025 Trajectory Foundation scholarship that provides financial support to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Imani, who hails from North Dinwiddie, Virginia (outside of Richmond), graduated high school with a 4.34 GPA and will attend North Carolina A&T (NCAT) and the Honors College this fall studying Marketing with the plan to double major with Mass Communication and Journalism.
Imani and her mom, who is also an HBCU alum (Virginia State University), have shown incredible courage over the past few years. Imani’s dad passed away from Alzheimer’s disease during the pandemic just before Imani started high school. Prior to her dad’s passing, Imani took on the difficult responsibility of helping to care for her dad. After her dad passed away, Imani went on to take on several leadership roles in high school, including being the president of Random Acts of Kindness and her senior class. She is a dedicated and passionate volunteer for several organizations in her community, and we commend Imani for her grace and resilience during what was a very difficult time in her life.
As Imani said in her scholarship application: “I am not a part of so many things just to say that I am, but it is because I love to be involved.” We are so proud to have Imani as a scholarship recipient and look forward to supporting her on her journey at NCAT.
