GRADUATION!

Ka’Najah W, our second ever scholarship award recipient, graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in May with a degree in Environmental Health & Safety.  She is now enrolled in a one-year nursing program at Marymount University in Virginia.  Not only is Ka’Najah hard working but she is also incredibly meticulous and planned this path for herself starting in high school by earning a certified nurse assistant license when she was just 18.  She has on multiple occasions thanked Trajectory Foundation for the ongoing support we have provided her as she navigated through college.  This is the impact that a community of donors like ours can have on the trajectory of young Black men and women.

NEW SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

The incredible support of our donors has allowed us to award $100,000 in new scholarships in the past 3 months. FIVE new winners, like Trevor G from Philadelphia pictured above, will be off to start their HBCU journeys this fall.

Trevor has overcome two learning disabilities to become a young software coding phenomenon. She will attend North Carolina Central University and major in Computer Science. Her scholarship is funded through our partnership with Travelers Insurance.

INTERNSHIPS FOR TRAJECTORY FOUNDATION STUDENTS:

  • Jalen H, attending Tennessee State University, was hired as a summer intern at DPR Construction in Nashville, TN. This opportunity aligns perfectly with his major of Civil Engineering. He just completed his Freshman year so this is a HUGE opportunity for him.
  • Ashlyn T, attending North Carolina A&T, was hired as an intern after her Sophomore year at Chevron Philips Chemical Company in Woodlands, TX. Ashlyn is an Environmental Engineering major.
  • Shyteonnah P, who is also attending North Carolina A&T, was hired as an intern at the National Summer Undergraduate Research Project where she will be working on research related to microbiology, immunology, and cancer biology.
  • Marcellus C, attending Alabama State, will be interning with our sponsor NORCAL School of the Arts in his hometown of Sacramento working as a teacher in their summer camps for dramatic arts. This also aligns well with his studies as a Theatre major at Alabama State.
