Grand-Taylor M.A.D.E Scholarship

Opens: January 19, 2026
Closes: March 20, 2026
Winner Announced by April 17, 2026

The Grand-Taylor M.A.D.E Scholarship was established by Ashlyn Taylor, in partnership with Trajectory Foundation, in 2025. The “M.A.D.E” in the name stands for Making A Determined Effort, and the main mission is to help alleviate some of the cost for any Ramsay IB High School Engineering Academy students to attend an HBCU and major in a S.T.E.M. related field. As a recent college grad, I have had the privilege of attending my HBCU debt-free due to the numerous programs that believed in and poured into me to achieve my dream. I’ve heard many of my friends or people I know struggle to pay for school because of lack of scholarship opportunities or resources to help pay for school. Although I had that privilege of going to school for free, it should not be a privilege. It should be a right for everyone to have access to a free or at least affordable education. We can not change the world in one day but to just be able to change at least one life, especially from my Alma mater, would be a step towards a brighter future. Seeing HBCU grads from Ramsay and having teachers like Ms. Sharpe, Ms. Gilbert, Mrs. Sibley and many more encourage students towards the engineering path has put me in this
position today.
