Shak J
Trajectory Foundation is proud to award a $24,000 HBCU Scholarship to Shak Jones, who recently graduated from Loomis Chaffee High School in Connecticut with a 3.4 GPA. Shak’s father passed away just as his 9thgrade year started at Loomis Chaffee, and Shak had to navigate a new world while experiencing the grief in the loss of a parent. He found community and support through football, through Brothers in Unity, and launched Access to Education to prove that “change isn’t about surviving but about growing.” Shak impressed us with a calm, determined demeanor that he likely gets from his mom, who instilled in him the importance of education, hard work, and lifting up others. These qualities have served him well and continue to serve him as he moves to Howard University in the fall of 2025 to study Physical Therapy.
